Turkey Soup

There is no recipe for turkey soup. It makes a lot, though.

We made turkey-barley soup today after having made a turkey breast post-Thanksgiving dinner yesterday.

We agree there is no recipe.

We (I) used celery and onions and boiled turkey carcass remnants. I see carrots, are those potatoes and tomatoes in yours?

My left over relish tray items included grape tomatoes this year, so they went into the soup. Quite a few of them, in fact. I had a few boiled potatoes from a recent meal and threw them in already cooked, near the end, and I liked the addition. I like the flavor that a bay leaf adds to any soup, myself. The corn was a good addition, too. Nancy and Brad ate one of those bowls pictured, and said they liked it, though none of the kids would eat it. Barley intead of wild rice .... slaps her forehead. Of course! And I wouldn't have had to cook up a package of wild rice.
